Oroku Karai was born as Hamato Miwa in 1996 and is an antagonist-turned-protagonist who is originally the biological daughter of Splinter. She's a extreme dangerous rebellious teenager who can be serious when needed.

Her parents are Yoshi (also know as Splinter) and Tang Shen and the family lived once in complete harmony until Yoshi's adoptive brother Oroku Saki made an attack at their home during night. He attacks Yoshi with a claw-weapon and he struck some flaming candles down on the floor during the battle with result that a fire breaks out. The fire kills her mother Tang Shen and the house burns complete off. Yoshi notices that his love is died in the flames and that his daughter is missing. Hamoto is kidnapped by Oroku because he has the feeling that he should take something from his former friend, because he took something from him, the love of Tang Shen.

Oroku has renamed himself as Shredder for the members of the Foot Clan and has renamed Hamoto in Karai. He treated her as his very own daughter and trains her in Ninjutsu. He fed her with tons of lies about what happened for example that he and her mother Tang Shen were lovers and that Splinter has caused the immense fire. She was taught to hate Splinter for her entire life, because he was being responsible for her mother's death.

She was saved by the Turtles who take her back home and changed her successfully back to Human after she was brainwashed by the Foot Clan. She wants to take deadly revenge after she notices that things are not what they seem to be when she discovers the truth, that Shredder has deceived her by lying about the fact that Splinter her real father is.

She discovered her heritage when she joined the Hamato Clan and got mutated into a serpent.

Looks

• As Human: She has approximately the same height as Donatello and is quite slender. She has short dark black hair with a large portion dyed blond in the back. She wears bright red eyeliner over the tips of her eyebrows and wears often a distinctive black and silver armored ninja outfit. She wears sometimes a brown metal biker jacket, instead of her ordinary outfit.
• As mutant: She is a armed white serpent with green eyes and has snake heads which replace her hands. She has also armor that infused with her skin is.

Abilities/Skills/Powers/Weaponry

• She is trained in ninjutsu and her skills as Kunoichi are very formidable. She's easily able to succeed in one-on-one battles or against more opponents at once. 
• Her primary weapon of choice is a short and sharp Japanese blade named Tanto. 
• She becomes feral and predatory after being turned into a mutant snake, but retains enough of her personality in order to recognize Splinter.
• Acrobatics: She has great acrobatics skills to compare to an athletic person.
• Venom Spit: She can spit a blinding venom and can use her tongue in a pitch fork like action.
• Retractable Teeth: It's also shown that her sharp teeth are retractable.
• Second Mouth: At the back of her head is actually a second mouth and you see a metal scalp if she shows it.
